This weekend sucked really bad. Stupid car broke down at work. Won't start at all. Of course I am thinking of the worst possible scenario which involves lots of money. We have had the WORST luck with cars lately. It sucks.
But we are also so very blessed. My dad came down Saturday morning to help Branch to try to fix it, then drove me to Evanston. My mom and Tony drove to Evanston so we can borrow their extra car for an undetermined amount of time.
I have a wonderful, caring, kind, hardworking, sexy husband that loves me.
I have to happy and healthy kids.
I have warm home and food in our pantry and freezer.
I have friends.
I have the Gospel.
I have a whole dang lot.

Rapunzel...Rapunzel! Donate your long hair?
SO I THOUGHT I HAD ALREADY POSTED THIS BUT APPARENTLY I HADN'T. IT'S ONLYL A COUPLE MONTHS BEHIND...
SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO...
Little Miss had been asking me about a haircut. She had an inch or two cut off
in January but the tangles came back really quick.
It was torture to brush her hair. I had been thinking for a while
about actually cutting her hair not just trimming it.
I found a video for Locks of Love on youtube
and showed it to her and showed her their website.
I explained that if she wanted to donate her hair
they could turn it into a beautiful wig for a sick child.
I then asked her if she wanted to donate her
hair so sick kids could have a wig made.
She was really excited about it.
So two Saturdays ago Little Miss, Me, Liz and E
went to Great Clips. Great Clips does free haircuts
if you donate your hair to Locks of Love.
Little Miss looked a little concerned
when they first started cutting but she was such a trooper.
The biggest shocker is that I didn't cry!!
She is an amazing little girl.
We are so proud of her. She also looks so cute!
So here is a before picture...
and here is the after!

EDITED TO ADD: Sometimes I forget how long her hair really was. It has been 3 months since she cut it. Sometimes I miss the lenght and the curls, which I know will never come back but she is so beautiful that she literally looks cute no matter what her hair looks like. I'm jealous :)
